That data can provide vital information for transport companies and that they might avoid a certain time on a day to transport their goods, because it’s very busy on the roads.

The third example of how IT can improve the mobility of people, is artificial intelligence. With the previous two examples we have seen how one can make mobility better by learning from human errors and how our behavior can lead to certain problems and solutions. Artificial intelligence in mobility doesn’t focus on the human behavior as such, but tries to create an own form of intelligence. Companies are trying to get public transport ride on its and even try to accomplish the same for trucks. Right now this is all planning for the future and it has been on the agendas for quite some time, but it could affect the mobility industry hugely in the years to come.
